Listen, My Dear Heart

Oh heart, just stay right here, don't stray,
You're still a stranger to these love pathways.
There isn't a true home you're yearning to gain,
Just broken houses, shattered dwellings, filled with pain.
This phantom city of love whispers promises,
sweet and grand,
Then vanishes like castles built on sand.
Leaving behind an echoing, hollow space,
A lonely shadow where joy found no trace.

How can hearts find shelter in such plight?
Why chase love with all your fervent might?
Love often blooms along the way,
Yet, if pursued, its fragile presence won't stay.
Be careful, heart, you'll go astray,
You're unaware of hearts that break and fray.
The love that weaves its own path to your core,
That's the only sign of true love, and nothing more.
