Awaiting the Dawn of Hope
My hope seems distant these days,
Hiding somewhere far away from me.
What can I hope for from hope itself now?
To soothe its quiet, it must come near to me.
Hiding somewhere far away from me.
What can I hope for from hope itself now?
To soothe its quiet, it must come near to me.
When lonely, and no one by my side,
It was hope that always was my guide.
When lost on paths, where time had cast its spell,
Hope showed new roads, where future dreams could dwell.
My hope has faced countless storms of life with me,
How can I accept its gaze now turned away from me?
Perhaps this time, the clouds of despair are thicker than before,
But still, a flicker of light remains for me.
Though fate has drawn long shadows, parting hope and me,
Still, I'll endure, that destined moment to see.
When hope returns, with grandest smile on its face,
Then I will loudly say:
"Look, my hope has come to meet me once again today!"
