A Necessary Pause
I sat down to write, but today I couldn't find a single word,
I felt a disconnect between what was in my heart and what could be heard.
Caught between the intensity of my feelings and the stillness of the page,
I was blocked by the very thing I was trying to express.
I felt a disconnect between what was in my heart and what could be heard.
Caught between the intensity of my feelings and the stillness of the page,
I was blocked by the very thing I was trying to express.
I realized,
Some feelings are just too vast to be woven into words,
They choose to stay within the heart, refusing to be disturbed.
I know that to force the words now is a painful task,
A necessary pause, not a break, behind this quiet mask.
My feelings demand time to process, to find their true and gentle form,
Before they become a river, instead of a chaotic storm.
The art of writing is often less about what I put on the page,
And more about what I allow to settle, without the pressure to perform or gain.
